Privacy
Enspinors collects nothing. There is no account, no sign-in, no server, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party code of any kind in the app. Nothing you do in it is recorded anywhere but on your own phone.
That is the whole policy. The rest of this page explains what the app touches and why, because a game that asks for your location owes you a plain account of it.
LOCATION
Enspinors asks for Location While Using the App. It is used for two things: reading the phone's compass so the bearing you take is a true one, and placing the drone's map over the real ground where you are standing.
Your position is used on the device, in the moment, and is never transmitted to me, never written to a file, and never associated with you or anything else. There is nowhere for it to go: I run no server and the app has no account.
MOTION
The accelerometer and gyroscope are read so the game can tell when you are holding the phone upright like an aerial, and so you can steer the drone by tilting. Same story: on the device, in the moment, transmitted nowhere.
WHAT THE APP DOES NOT DO
- It does not use the camera or the microphone.
- It does not read health data. The heartbeat in the last sequence is simulated.
- It does not read contacts, photos, calendars, or files.
- It does not track you across apps or websites, and contains no advertising identifier.
- It sends nothing to me. There is no server, no account and no analytics. The voices you hear are audio files inside the app.
THE ONE THING THAT USES THE NETWORK
The drone stage flies over real satellite imagery, and that imagery is fetched by Apple Maps as you fly — the same framework the Maps app uses. Those requests go to Apple, under Apple’s privacy policy, and Apple designs Maps so that requests are not tied to an Apple ID. They do not come to me: I never see them, and nothing identifying you is attached to them by this app.
Apart from Apple Maps drawing the ground beneath the drone, Enspinors does not use the network at all.
WHAT IS STORED ON YOUR PHONE
A few settings — whether you have seen the introduction, whether you have opened an Academy lesson. They live in the app's own storage, they never leave it, and deleting the app deletes them.
CHILDREN
Enspinors is rated 12+ for a brief frightening sequence. It collects no data from anyone, of any age.
